Description

Before turning to writing full-time Tracy was a reference book editor for several years. She is the author of seven novels. Her second novel, Girl with a Pearl Earring, won the Barnes and Noble Discover Award, sold 4 million copies worldwide, and was made into a film starring Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson.

When Tracy was a child, she was the president of the Laura Ingles Wilder Club at her local library! She holds a BA in English from Oberlin College, Ohio, and an MA in creative writing from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England.

She was born in Washington DC, where her father was a photographer for the Washington Post, but she has lived in England her entire adult life. She currently lives in London with her husband and son.
